Blissfully married for 33 yrs to my husband, Mark Cope, who is a special education teacher. We have 4 grown children, 3 girls and a boy. We have 2 grandchildren, 1 boy and 1 girl.
We actually met playing D&D, and have continued to play throughout our entire marriage. Playing card, board, and tabletop games has been a longstanding family tradition during holiday events, and we often have friends come over to play games.
When we got involved with Dice Alliance, which is a 501c3 non-profit youth outreach that uses games to teach lessons and build relationships, we realized that there aren't a lot of good places for families and friends to play games, especially expansive and/or time-consuming ones, in our area. Most people don't have the time to prepare a place, the money for an extensive game collection, the room to host others, or a convenient location. So, we decided to provide a place that we hope will become one of those local social gathering places, AND to give Dice Alliance a place to really call home.
