ELABG Interview with Prof. Camllia Zamboni

ELABG Interview with Prof. Camllia Zamboni

Facebook strikes again! A group that I follow had a post by a fellow member that her book was finally published. Of course, I had to read it. Professor Camilla Zamboni's book, Roll for Learning: 51 Micro Tabletop Role-Playing Games to Use in the Classroom, is a collection of TTRPGS with a lot of other information to help implement them. She graciaously joined me in this episode to talk about gaming in the classroom, gaming online, expansions (good or bad), and the usual questions. Thanks for listening.

Camilla Zamboni

Professor

Camilla Zamboni (she/her) teaches Educational Game Design as well as Italian language and culture at Wesleyan University (Connecticut, USA). She focuses on innovative, reflective, and radical pedagogy, particularly at the nexus of language learning, open educational resources (OERs), analog game-based learning, and tabletop game design. Camilla regularly presents at conferences in US and Italy, and she is currently editing a volume on creating micro tabletop role-playing games for the classroom called Roll for Learning. Camilla is also a game designer and translator, specifically focusing on tabletop games for language learning: her latest projects are Planétes, a language-learning ttrpg created with Alessia Caviglia, and Folk, a ttrpg to explore folklore.
