I received this game for Christmas. I love garden gnomes. I love games. This is an oddly specific intersection of these two loves. Game of Gnomes is a fast and hilarious matching game. To set up, hand everyone a suction grabber and spread the gnome cards out face up accessible for every player. A player rolls all three dice. All players simultaneously must use their suction grabber to snatch the only gnome matching the die results. One die has the shirt color, one has a garden tool, and the last is a fashion accessory. For example, you are searching through the 36 different gnome shaped cards for the one in a red shirt with a shovel and a pipe. Once you spot it, be the first to secure it with the grabber. The first player to 5 gnomes is the winner.
Paladone is the publisher. The game does not list a designer or artist. The website for Paladone does not list this game. Apparently, it is only available at the store At Home. This all is pretty sad as the game has high-quality dice, cards, and suction grabbers. The art is simple and effective. Honestly, for the $6.99 price on the At Home website, this is well worth it.
The Son and I played Game of Gnomes twice in a row. While It was nothing new, it was quite entertaining.
